Yarmouth Rotary 2nd Annual Maine’s Fastest Mile

Starts at Yarmouth High School and ends at Town Hall 7:15 am – Registration Opens 8:00 am – Youth Division Fun Run 8:30 am – Open Division Fun prizes and a great way to run off that extra piece of pumpkin pie! Sponsored by the Yarmouth Rotary Club, benefiting organizations committed to enhancing and improving open spaces in our town. Early registration: $20 Adults/$10 Kids (12 & under), $25/$12 Day of race

Saturday December 2
Yarmouth Community Services 37th Annual Carol Sing & Tree Lighting

Memorial Green – Santa Arrives at 5pm (be there before 5pm to make sure you see Santa’s Arrival!) Join Yarmouth Hometown Holidays and Yarmouth Community Services for the 37th annual carol sing and tree lighting on the Memorial Green in front of town hall. The YHS Chorus and Band will be on hand to lead the crowd in sing-a-longs of holiday favorites and there will even be a visit from Santa himself! The Yarmouth Rotary club will serve cookies and hot cocoa, and representatives from Operation Bundle Up will be on hand collecting donations of hats, mittens, coats, and other warm wear for distribution to those in need. Merry & Bright Holiday Celebration

First Parish Church Christmas Fair

317 Main Street Community Music Center Open House

317 Main Street – 11am to 3pm: Join us for live music, treats, a cup of cheer(cider/cocoa) and make ‘n take crafts for kids at 317 Main’s annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 2nd. North Yarmouth Academy Holiday Craft Fair

154 Main Street – 9am to 3pm: Over sixty vendors from across the state will present a diverse variety of crafts including artwork, photography, jewelry, candles, soap, alpaca products, blown glass, woodworking and much more. Enjoy a sit-down lunch at the NYA Café and listen to holiday music by the NYA Chorus. Money raised from booth rental fees will help support NYA teacher grant requests. http://www.nya.org/


First Baptist Church Christmas Fair

346 Main Street – 9am to 2pm: First Baptist Church will be serving their world famous homemade fish chowder as well as chili fit for Santa himself. You can eat in or take it home. Come & enjoy homemade cookies & other baked goods, lots of white elephant treasures, toys, books, videos, crafts & raffles. We will once again be offering free shuttle rides to and from FBC Yarmouth to the heart of the fairs! Mark your calendar & don’t miss it!


Yarmouth Historical Society Holiday Craft Fair

118 East Elm Street – 9am to 3pm: Kick off your holiday shopping with a stop at the Yarmouth History Center! Local crafters, artists, and students will be on hand with art and photography, cozy accessories, holiday cards, pottery, and more. Stop in for refreshments and don’t miss our own gift shop for Yarmouth items, local history books, and gift memberships. It’s sure to be a festive day! Artisans at the Log Cabin Annual Holiday Show

Log Cabin, Main Street – 9am to 3pm: Come see what our artisans are offering shoppers this year! Plus – enter the raffle to WIN your favorite artist’s creation. – all proceeds go to YCAN.


St. Bartholomew’s Church Christmas Fair

396 Gilman Road – 9am to 2pm: Baked goods, handcrafts, frozen gourmet foods, wreaths, silent auction, attic treasures, books & music table, greens, luncheon, jewelry and a cookie walk.


Artascope Open Studio at Railroad Square

48 Railroad Square – 10am to 4pm: Help us welcome the season with our Open Studio during the Yarmouth Holiday Fair. We will be raffling off a chance to win a 3-month studio membership. Don’t know what membership means? This is a great time to learn. Mix & mingle with studio members, take a tour of our spacious facility for painting, metalsmithing, and glass work, and see samples of upcoming classes. Make an ornament in our member lounge and enjoy festive refreshments. 

Be sure to also check out the work of our talented artisans and other local artists at the Gallery at Railroad Square in its new location at 298 Main Street at Railroad Square. First Universalist Church Evergreen Holiday Fair

97 Main Street – 10am to 2pm: Yarmouth’s fabulous, fun, and festive fair returns! join us for a delicious bowl of hot soup and a slice of homemade bread, check out the gifts and treats we have for sale, bid on a variety of items in our silent auction, decorate gingerbread houses. Day of Hope

Yarmouth High School, 286 W. Elm Street – 1:00 to 3:30pm: The Day of Hope will feature six speakers (from politics, business, music and art) at the Yarmouth High School auditorium to share stories about hope from their jobs and lives: where they find hope and how they use it to make a positive impact. Speakers will give 15-20 minute ‘TED-Style’ talks, and be available to answer questions at the end. 18th Annual Boast n Toast Silent and Live Auction

Muddy Rudder 5:30pm: Early bird pricing of $30 per person until 12/2. Terrific food, drinks and great Silent and Live Auctions with dozens of items to benefit the Chamber’s Scholarship Fund and the Merrill Memorial Library.

Purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win a $500 Shopping Spree at local businesses where 100% of the proceeds benefit the Yarmouth Community Garden!

Wreaths Across America Gold Star Convoy

Yarmouth Main Street – 6pm  to 7pm: The Wreaths Across America Gold Star Convoy will be escorted down Main Street in Yarmouth on Sunday, December 10! Gather on Main Street by 6:00pm, bring your flags and DRESS WARMLY! Let’s show the Gold Star Mothers, Wives and Veterans how much we support and appreciate their sacrifices. Arrival time of the Convoy/Escort is APPROXIMATE. They do their absolute best to be on time, but delays are possible. Vehicle access to Main Street may be limited after 5:30 pm.

West Side Trail 6th Annual Walk with Santa

Meet at the upper Tyler Technologies Parking Lot for a 10 am guided walk with Santa. This event is FREE! Santa has time for just one stop in this busy day and he hopes you can join him for some fresh air, a cookie, and cocoa! Dress appropriately for weather, as this event is snow or shine! (Due to trail conditions, the event may be cancelled. Please check with YCS the day before)

First Universalist Church 6th Annual Clam Drop!

97 Main Street – 7pm: Ring in the 2018 with Steamer the Clam!

First Universalist welcomes all to their front steps to ring in the New Year. Arrive before 7:00 PM and step inside to warm up and enjoy music, cookies and cocoa. Then join Steamer outside right before 7:00pm, and count down the Greenwich Mean Time New Year! A wonderful evening activity for families with little merry makers, or make it a stop on your way to your midnight celebrations.
