Yarmouth Community Services 36th Annual Carol Sing and Tree Lighting

Memorial Green – 5pm

Join Yarmouth Hometown Holidays and Yarmouth Community Services for the 36th annual carol sing and tree lighting on the Memorial Green in front of town hall. The YHS Chorus and Band will be on hand to lead the crowd in sing-a-longs of holiday favorites and there will even be a visit from Santa himself! The Yarmouth Rotary club will serve cookies and hot cocoa, and representatives from Operation Bundle Up will be on hand collecting donations of hats, mittens, coats, and other warm wear for distribution to those in need. Bring the whole family for a village tradition unlike any other!

North Yarmouth Academy Holiday Craft Fair

154 Main Street – 9am-3pm

Over sixty vendors from across the state will present a diverse variety of crafts including artwork, photography, jewelry, candles, soap, alpaca products, blown glass, woodworking and much more. Enjoy a sit-down lunch at the NYA Café and listen to holiday music by the NYA Chorus. Money raised from booth rental fees will help support NYA teacher grant requests.

 

First Baptist Church Christmas Fair

346 Main Street – 9am-2pm

First Baptist Church will be serving their world famous homemade fish chowder as well as chili fit for Santa himself. You can eat in or take it home. Come & enjoy homemade cookies & other baked goods, lots of white elephant treasures, toys, books, videos, crafts & raffles. Proceeds from the fair go to the Root Cellar Ministries in Portland so it’s all for a great cause. We will once again be offering free shuttle rides to and from FBC Yarmouth to the heart of the fairs! Mark your calendar & don’t miss it!

Yarmouth Historical Society Holiday Craft Fair

118 East Elm Street – 9am-3pm

Kick off your holiday shopping with a stop at the History Center on Saturday, December 3 from 9:00-3:00! Local crafters, artists and students will be on hand with local art and photography, fiber and fabric art, holiday cards, ornaments, and more.  Stop in for refreshments and visits with Sandy, the mechanical horse from Goff’s Hardware, and don’t miss our own gift shop for Yarmouth items, local history books, and gift memberships. It’s sure to be a festive day!

Help us welcome the season with our Artisan Show during the Yarmouth Holiday Fair. We will be raffling off a chance to win a 3-month studio membership. Don’t know what membership means? This is a great time to learn. Mingle with studio members, take a tour of our spacious facility for painting, metalsmithing, and glass work, and see samples of upcoming classes. Make an ornament in our member lounge and enjoy festive refreshments. Our talented artisans, teachers, and members extraordinaire have put on their elf hats to create amazing hand-made work just in time for holiday buying. Paintings, glass art, fine jewelry, metalwork, handmade cards, pottery, fiber art, bags, pillows, and more can be found at the Gallery at Railroad Square.

West Side Trail 5th Annual Walk with Santa

Meet at the upper Tyler Technologies Parking Lot for a 10 am guided walk with Santa. This event is FREE! Santa has time for just one stop in this busy day and he hopes you can join him for some fresh air, a cookie, and cocoa! Dress appropriately for weather, as this event is snow or shine! (Due to trail conditions, the event may be cancelled. Please check with YCS the day before)
